Description
This course is a forum for new and existing fiction projects, informed by assigned readings in fiction and theory in the beginning of the quarter. This quarter we will read Jean Toomer's seminal work of the Harlem Renaissance, Cane, and focus on hybridity, experiment, and politics in writing. Workshop will take up the bulk of our time in class, and as such, we will focus equally on building skills of critique and revision.
Grading
Letter grade based on completion of assignments, attendance, participation, and completion of final reflection paper.
