110B examines key trends in critical theory from the late-19th century to the present. We will begin with a number theoretical traditions (Marxism, psychoanalysis, Frankfurt school criticism, structuralism/poststructuralism, critical race theory, feminist and queer theory), before turning to critics who work within these traditions in literary and cultural studies. 2/3 Synchronous; 1/3 Asynchronous
